Sustainability is an important topic that more and more companies are taking seriously, and Mvolo is no exception. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our production and delivery process to reduce our environmental footprint. In this blog post, we will take you through the steps we have taken so far and our vision for the future.
No manuals, but QR codes
One of the first steps we’ve taken is to eliminate the traditional paper manuals from our product packaging. This helps to save a huge amount of paper and therefore reduce the unnecessary cutting of trees. Instead, we’ve decided to move to a more modern approach. Each product now comes with a card with a QR code, which you can easily scan to access the digital manual. For some boxes, we can also place it on the inside :)
The benefits of corrugated fibreboard
Another important part of our packaging strategy is the use of corrugated fibreboard, also known as corrugated cardboard. Why did we choose this material?
- Recyclable : Corrugated cardboard is easy to recycle and contributes to a circular economy.
- Lightweight : This reduces CO2 emissions during transport.
- Sustainably produced : The raw materials for corrugated cardboard are obtained in a responsible manner, often from sustainably managed forests.
- Strong & Protective : Despite its light weight, corrugated cardboard is strong and provides good protection to the products shipped in it.
Looking for green carriers
But we don’t stop here. Right now, we are actively looking for carriers who share our vision of sustainability and who can ship in the greenest way possible. Whether it’s electric vehicles, carbon offset programs or other innovative solutions – we want to be at the forefront of the transition to a greener future.
