How does an infrared bulb work
An infrared holder consists of two parts: a fixture with head and cable, and the lamp itself that radiates the heat. The bulb is that second part. The Mvolo Infrared Bulb has a standard E27 fitting and therefore fits in most infrared holders for home and professional use. Screw it in and the holder is immediately operational.
The bulb delivers 300W shortwave IR-A radiation in the range of 700 to 1400 nm. That is the power and spectrum that characterizes professional infrared therapy and that demonstrably penetrates the deepest into tissue. Less power means less penetration depth. With 300W you can achieve a penetration depth of up to 6 mm, which is sufficient to reach muscles and joints directly.
Why 300W IR-A
Not all infrared lamps are equal. Cheaper heat lamps produce a lot of visible red light but little real IR-A radiation. The difference is in the spectrum. IR-A from 700 to 1400 nm is the therapeutically active part of the infrared spectrum. It penetrates deeper than visible red light and emits heat directly into the tissue instead of on the surface.

How does infrared therapy work
A regular heat lamp or hot water bottle warms the surface of your skin. Infrared heat works differently. IR-A radiation from 700 to 1400 nm penetrates up to 6 mm deep into the tissue and thus reaches muscles, joints and connective tissue directly. You feel the warmth not only on the outside, but deep inside.

The lamp emits heat. Do not wear dark clothing directly under the lamp and protect your eyes during use. Not intended for use on the face at close range.
